The Recycling Research Foundation (RRF) is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization closely associated with ISRI. Our mission is to promote the art and science of scrap processing and recycling through research, sponsorships, technical assistance, and educational programs for the purpose of advancing the industry.
Each year RFF holds a silent auction in conjunction with ISRI’s annual convention and exposition as the primary way of raising money to continue its mission. The proceeds from the auction supports the foundation’s efforts to strengthen the recycling industry through industry research as well as fund scholarships, grants, and other initiatives.
Over the last eight years, the Silent Auction has raised nearly $200,000 from donations such as scrap metal art, hotel packages, jewelry, sporting goods, and equipment and tools for scrap facilities.
The 2018 Silent Auction will take place April 16-18, at the ISRI Booth at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The auction opens at 5 p.m., Monday, April 16, during the Exhibit Hall Opening Reception and closes at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18.
